Website Design

About the Client

A local consultant was looking to pivot his business and needed marketing and promotional materials to mirror this pivot.

The Client's Problem

The client was looking to pivot his business from resume writing to full career counselling, and needed a website and lead magnets to build his business and potential client base.

The Process

We began the process through a discovery process of website goals, site architecture, and style tiles. This client was different than previous clients we’ve worked with as they knew right from the beginning that one of their site goals was to get users to sign up for a lead magnet, that would add them to the client’s mailing list.

Once we did the preliminary background work with the client, we moved into the design process to design and develop a website that would provide a great selection of resources and information for website users. One area in particular that the client wanted to focus on was the blog, where he would be able to post additional blog posts that would help with SEO and building customer trust.

Once we had designed and developed the website, we put our focus on the lead magnet, which consisted of a 14-page free downloadable document outlining how to avoid common mistakes career changers make, along with strategies to avoid career transition mistakes.

When someone wanted to receive this downloadable PDF, they would be required to sign up for the client’s mailing list, which was managed through Aweber. The lead magnet form, while managed in WordPress had to communicate with this third party application.
